Kate Hudson and her hair stylist-guru-to-the-stars, David Babaii are{{{being | creature}}} sued in the Superior Court of Los Angelos, over a{{{verbal | vocal}}} contract with 220 Laboratories. The Laboratories{{{claim | assert}}} Hudson and Babaii have misappropriated {{{trade | buy and sell}}} secrets and are in breach of {{{confidence | self assurance}}}, have committed {{{fraud | deception}}}, are in breach of contract and up to 13 other misdemeanors. The secret {{{ingredient | element}}} to the products, which are said to {{{revolutionize | transfigure}}} the hairdressing world, is black volcanic ash, from the {{{remote | isolated}}} tropical island of Tanna, in Vanuatu, in the South Pacific. {{{Finding | Discovery}}} more natural products is part of the world wide drive to find healthy alternatives for those who care for themselves and their {{{environment | atmosphere}}}. Researchers have recently {{{discovered | exposed}}} that the {{{average | normal}}} woman, unknowingly, puts 176 different chemicals on her body, in her daily beauty routine. This is not the first time the volcanic ash has been used in {{{caring | helpful}}} for the body. Volcanic Earth, based in Vanuatu, sells an {{{exclusive | special}}} exfoliating ‘Ash Power’ body scrub, made from volcanic ash and fine crystals of sugar (sucrose). The scrub is the color of rich black soil. The texture feels like fine granulated sugar {{{being | creature}}} rubbed on the skin. Working the grains back and forth produces the exfoliating action, scrubbing away dead {{{skin | pelt}}} cells. After a minute of rubbing and scrubbing, the grains {{{dissolve | melt}}} away into a lightly scented (slightly sweet), moisturizing {{{foam | bubbles}}}. One {{{user | client}}} of the ash exfoliate described it as, “A bit like {{{dying | disappearing}}} your own hair, in that the stuff gets {{{everywhere | all over the place}}} you don't want it to be, and it's black as squid ink. I'm not sure the washcloth I used to {{{remove | take away}}} it in the shower will ever recover. I was glad we had a handled shower to hose the splatters quickly from the grout, least they {{{stain | soil}}}.” The mineral rich, oil {{{absorbing | fascinating}}} volcanic ash contains sulphur, which has been used for centuries as a {{{treatment | handling}}} for a wide variety of skin {{{conditions | circumstances}}}. The volcanic products are said to detoxify and {{{restore | reinstate}}} life energy through the ancient minerals. You can {{{purchase | buy}}} an Ash Thermal Mask, or an Exfoliation Scrub and even a Prep and Prime lip refinished, used as a {{{base | bottom}}} for lipstick. All made with volcanic ash. You can now also {{{control | manage}}} fly away hair, according to Kate Hudson and her {{{partner | colleague}}}. It is {{{amazing | astonishing}}} what pulverized rock and {{{cooled | frozen}}} molten glass, created by violent volcanic explosions, can do. The locals in Tanna may be burning away a {{{fortune | kismet}}}, when instead of gathering wood; they use the ash on their fires, to cook their food. Particularly {{{since | as}}} the area has been defoliated by the action of the volcanic ash. I am sure when it comes to the {{{bottom | base}}} line however; it will be a case of who has ownership of the {{{precious | valuable}}} ash that liberally litters the plain around the foot of Mt Yassur, turning the landscape into a scene from a science-fiction movie? There is however another {{{valuable | precious}}} use for the ash, which only nature can engineer. When high levels of volcanic ash is erupted into the {{{atmosphere | environment}}}, as was experienced in 1991 after Mt Pinatubo erupted, there was a global cooling effect. The ash can remain {{{suspended |poised}}} for days, or even years, screening the sun and cooling the earth. Has anyone thought that a string of volcanic eruptions could be the answer to the world’s crisis of global warming? Will nature lend us a helping hand?
