The new 2009 Acura TSX will once again make you long for the road! Set for sale in April of 2008, the new Acura TSX comes fully redesigned and ready for the streets. This luxury sport sedan offers demanding drivers everything they want and a whole lot more they didn't even know they wanted!

Safety is always an issue. No one wants a fabulous looking car that performs at magnificent levels if it is going to put them in danger for every minute they are on the road. That's why Acura makes safety features a large part of their design process. The Acura TSX offers: stability control, ABS, air bags throughout the vehicle to ensure passenger safety as well as driver safety in case of a collision and more. The car was given every safety feature imaginable from front to back. But the designers didn't stop at ensuring the safety of drivers and passengers. They continued right on with great design features and amenities!

In addition to all the safety features, the 2009 Acura TSX is equipped with the power and performance that drivers crave. The 2.4 liter inline 4 cylinder engine can reach up to an astonishing 201 horsepower and 172 lb-ft torque. This model was designed to distribute the power across a wider range of rpm's to work along with the increased torque so drivers get the very most power and control in the TSX. And the power wasn't achieved at the expense of the fuel economy, the 2009 Acura TSX can get up to 30 miles per gallon on highway.

Honda's 2.2-liter i-DTEC clean turbo diesel engine is planned for the 2009 version of the Acura TSX. It will be in a higher class of "environmentally friendly" options due to the advanced Nox emissions reduction system it will feature. It's capabilities will be enhanced to the extent that the new engine will not even require any urea additives in order to meet the emission standards!

Two transmission options (5-speed automatic and 6-speed manual) will be available with both the 2009 Acura TSX: the 2.4 liter engine and the i-DTEC engine. The automatic Acura TSX will come with the added feature of steering wheel paddle shifters for optional manual shifting.

As part of the revamping process the 2009 Acura TSX was made larger than previous designs. To increase stability and control the new TSX will have a 3.0-inch greater width, a 2.6-inch wider track and a 1.3-inch longer wheelbase than the current TSX. In addition, the length will grow by 2.4 inches.

The new 2009 Acura TSX will of course be equipped with the standard luxury features expected from Acura, but in addition Acura has added a USB port music interface and will have an optional technology package, which includes a navigation system real-time traffic and weather, and a 10-speaker premium sound system with DVD-audio capabilities. Also making an appearance on the new TSX is Honda's Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure, which is designed to reduce accident impact on passengers.

The power moon roof is a luxury drivers and "riders" alike will enjoy! Other features that are popular on the 2009 Acura TSX are: 17 inch alloy wheels, Xenon HID headlights, heated seats, automatic climate control, satellite radio, leather interior, Bluetooth connectivity. It even offers an optional voice activated navigation system.
