Acne is common to teenagers as they are enjoying their adolescent age. But how could anyone enjoy adolescence with those ugly skin inflammations? That is why many teenagers consider having acne as a real disaster. No one would want to wake up everyday and look at the mirror with face having terrible acne. Good thing there are now ways on how to treat acne. The only problem is, many acne treatments are not that successful and they can even make the problem worse. Teenagers, as well as adults, experiencing acne problems can simply treat acne by understanding the skin and what causes this ugly skin problem.

The Birth of Acne

Our face faces dirt everyday and once this dirt is accumulated, it may fill in the skin pores. That will create what is commonly called as blackheads. These blackheads are common to many and almost all know that these are quite difficult for treatment. Treating this acne may also cause the surface of the skin to be broken and may leave an ugly pock mark that might be on the skin forever. But the good news is that there are treatments for blackheads without the squeezing. Examples of these are blackhead guns and medicated pads.

Although blackheads are not that disgusting compared to more advanced acne, treating acne through this will definitely prevent bigger skin problem.

If Blackheads were not Treated

Treating acne should first be concentrated on treating blackheads. But what if these blackheads were never treated? That skin rash will advance to its next acne form which is called pimple.

Pimple is formed when the blackhead is infected. As mentioned, blackheads are caused by dirt. When this dirt is not removed immediately, the skin will react on removing this dirt. That struggle of the skin will cause small pus that will surround the blackhead. This is done to attempt the dirt to be rejected from the body. That will be the time that the pimple becomes larger. When squeezed, this will leave an even larger pock mark. The best way to treat this kind of acne is to break a surface of the pimple. That will make it easier for the pimple and the pus to escape from the pore.

Whiteheads, an Advanced Pimple

Now, when the pimple is not treated, that will become what is called as whiteheads. These are large and really ugly sore that is filled up with pus. This kind of acne will certainly leave a larger mark than that of the blackhead and pimple when not treated earlier. The process of treating whiteheads is just like how to remove the blackheads and pimples. The surface of the whitehead must be broken, allowing the pus to get out of the skin pores.

Further Treatments for Acne

When the skin is already free from blackheads and blemishes, the next treatment is preventing the acne from coming back. There are many commercial products that can help anyone fight against ugly acne. But most of these are based on simple cleaning with alcohol which can be easily done at home.

Just mix some teaspoons of alcohol to a cup of warm water. This solution can be made stronger or weaker depending on the amount of alcohol used. The acne treatment should be applied on the skin two to three times everyday.

With these preventions and treatment methods for acne, anyone can certainly find looking at the mirror very satisfying.
