Daily we see many searches, on the Internet, for phrases like free work at home programs, work at home no start up fees, no investment work at home programs and more. There are multiple reasons for this. Some simply do not feel they have the extra money required to put into a work at home endeavor. They figure they cannot even pay their bills so how can they afford anything else. If that is you do not despair because you will see that you do have options.

Other people have joined programs that did not work out and are afraid to make the same mistake again.

First let's look paid work at home programs. Many of these programs charge a minimal fee to help you get your work at home endeavor up an running quickly. I think this option is the best way to make money in the shortest amount of time. I compare, what many of these programs offer, to a self help book on doing a new project of some type. They help you avoid costly mistakes and give you an organized approach on how to starting working from home. They will even train you with step-by-step guidance in most instances. In my opinion the time you save is well worth the minimal investment here.

Having said that one can do it the free way as well. There are many programs that are free to join. Some are free period, while others are free initially, but give you a choice of upgrading at a later date so you can grow at a faster rate. They figure once you start earning some money you will feel more confident in upgrading with their service. Why not, if your making enough money to pay for the upgrade? It only makes sense to try and earn more money faster.

In updating my research there are many free work at home programs to choose from. Some of the main types of programs are as follows:

* Affiliate Marketing
* Network Marketing
* Online Surveys
* Mystery Shopping
* Online focus groups

One of the most important things to remember, whether you choose the paid opportunities or free to join programs is that you will have a much better chance for success if you match any type of program with your work at home profile. What is your work at home profile? It's a term I have used previously whereby you make a mental not of your current skill sets, income objectives, comfort zone and available time. The other important thing to do is research. You can either do it yourself or use a website like mine, but not necessarily mine that has done some level of research for you. I believe that these two things can give you a head start on your work at home or home based business.

Take your time, research, filter out any programs using your work at home profile, join, read the step-by-step guidance, exercise patience and enjoy your new work at home career.
